Meet Steve Cragg
Steve Cragg, our lead, is pleased to be a part of the Compound Interest crew! Steve is a newcomer to the barbershop scene, only having starting perfecting his craft in February of 2011 when he started singing with the "Heralds of Harmony" barbershop chorus.
Steve has been impersonating a musician for much of his life, being featured as a soloist in his 1975 Kindergarten Christmas bonanza! The piece was "Santa Claus is comin' to Town", and the rest is history. Throughout his school years, Steve has participated in many school choruses, ensembles, and theatre projects. He has participated in the Walt Disney World Candlelight Chorus on two occasions as well as the Stetson University Chapel Choir for four years. Steve has been blessed to be able to lend his acting/music skills to such productions as "Foxfire" and "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum".
When not masquerading as a barbershopper, Steve may be found hanging out with his awesome wife Kimberly, or his three kids- Katy, Kirsten and Sam. Since the bills have to be paid, Steve has a great time working as "the Cop on the Beat" at the Tampa Police Department. And if you happen to attend Terrace Palms Community Church in Temple Terrace on a Sunday, you may just see Steve leading the music there!
